Terms of Use

These conditions apply whenever you browse Liberty County Criminal History, read its content, or use a search tool. Continued use means that you accept all terms below. Do not use the service if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act purposes. The resource points readers to official criminal-record channels in Liberty County, Texas. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

Liberty County Criminal History is a private reference site, independent of every public office. It does not store official files, conduct official checks, retrieve records, or submit paperwork for a user.

Its purpose is to identify the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, the proper court clerk, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry as distinct record sources. Some pages also connect to tools operated by outside companies.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on lawful conduct. You must not:

  • Use an automated scraper, bot, or harvesting tool against a page
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
  • Attempt to enter a system or account without authorization
  • Rely on site content for a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
  • Interfere with site speed, security, or another visitor's access
  • Violate a federal, Texas, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked service must not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. The restriction is especially important for the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 limits misuse, and harmful action against a registrant may carry criminal consequences. Registry access supports lawful community awareness, never vigilantism or retaliation.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produce no credit report, consumer report, or official background check. Our partners' tools are not offered here for an FCRA-regulated decision. You may not use information from this site or a linked tool to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other decision regulated by the FCRA

A check for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider and follow the consent and notice rules that apply to that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Liberty County records are not legal advice. A licensed Texas attorney must assess how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure law applies to a specific situation.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:

  • A partner's result will be complete, current, or correctly matched
  • Every page will remain available without interruption
  • Content will always be accurate or up to date
  • The service will contain no bug, error, or security weakness

Charges, outcomes, access rules, and agency procedures can change. A file may also be expunged, corrected, or made subject to nondisclosure. Gaps may occur, and no content here is an official statement of a Liberty County court, sheriff, clerk, or Texas agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

A link may lead to a sheriff, clerk, court portal, Texas agency, legal resource, or outside search company. The destination controls its own content, availability, fees, data practices, and terms. We are not responsible for those services, so review their conditions before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Liberty County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the broadest extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for losses arising from use of the site, its content, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims caused by your use of the service or breach of these terms, including reasonable legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Texas, subject to applicable jurisdiction and venue rules. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public records held by government bodies, while Government Code Chapter 411 controls dissemination of criminal-history record information; neither turns this private resource into a government custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay effective. The affected provision will be narrowed only as far as needed.

15. Questions
