Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, hosting and analytics systems can receive routine technical details about the visit:
- Page-view times and the pages requested
- The device and operating-system category

- The device's assigned IP address
- Visit duration and basic navigation activity
- A referring website, when one is supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, page use, and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that activity into broader reports. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although a blocked cookie may change how some features behave.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Liberty County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to records kept by the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, the county and district clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a file about another person, and this resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools. Their own privacy terms govern information submitted to them, including how long they keep it and when they disclose it. Review the provider's policy before running a query because those practices are beyond our control.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Liberty County offices, Texas agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read those terms before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across sites and select ads. That processing occurs on the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Search providers that receive a query submitted to their tool
- Advertising networks serving content on a page
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal demand

Reasonable safeguards are used for information in our control. No internet service can promise absolute security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence and by whether a law applies to a particular operator. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, addresses consumer data rights for covered businesses. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs records held by Texas government bodies, not this private site. Texas Government Code Chapter 411 controls authorized dissemination of criminal-history record information held by the state; this private resource does not maintain that data. Subject to applicable law, a person may:
- Request access to applicable personal data
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law provides that right
- Opt out of covered forms of processing
